The Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital project was a combination of a new construction and a renovation project. The three-building type 400-bed campus, located in Cypress, Texas, was designed to be the “Smart Hospital of the Future” and will incorporate the most advanced technology available upon its opening. The 106 acre consists of 600,000 SF of hospital, 160,000 SF of a medical office building, and a 30,000 SF central utility plant (CUP). The CUP is an existing building requiring full exterior renovation. The new hospital is anticipated to include much of the infrastructure required for the “next century of innovation”. The primary building enclosure assemblies consists of masonry wall assemblies, punched window assemblies, curtain wall assemblies, storefront glazing assemblies and low-slope roofing.
