Ismaili Center

The Ismaili Center Houston, the seventh of its kind in the world and the first in the United States, designed by architects of international standing, is a cultural center intended to facilitate intellectual exchange between people of diverse backgrounds. The 5-story building includes two levels of below-grade parking beneath expansive landscaping, stone cladding, a custom curtain wall system by German-based Gartner, skylights, terraces over conditioned space at each elevation and within courtyards and low-sloped roofing. For this project, SEAL provided pre-construction phase services including drawing and specification review in addition to construction phase services including submittal and shop drawing review as well as periodic site and testing observation.
