The Modern was a new 56-story residential condominium tower located in the Rainey Street District of Austin, TX. This project included ground floor retail and restaurant space, integral below/ above grade parking, amenity decks, and unit terraces. The exterior building enclosure consisted primarily of below-grade waterproofing, unitized curtain wall, horizontal waterproofing, and low-slope membrane roofing. The building enclosure design review scope for the design phases primarily included: third party review of design team provided, drawing and specifications. Services also included Construction Administration (CA) with submittal shop drawing and periodic site visits throughout the construction of the building enclosure.
